New Delhi, 7th Sept. 2018: The special cell of Delhi Police has busted a module of the Islamic State in Jammu and Kashmir (ISJK) with the arrest of two militants — Parvaiz Rashid Lone, a BTech (civil engineering), and Jamsheed Zahoor Paul, a diploma holder (electrical engineering). Both are resident of Shopian, J&K. Two 7.65 mm calibre pistols, 10 live cartridges and 10 mobile phones were recovered from them, said DCP Pramod Singh Kushwah (Special Cell).

The two were following instructions of Omar Ibn Nazir and Aadil Thoker, “emir” and “nayab emir” of ISJK, respectively, through encrypted messaging applications. The ISJK, still in nascent stage, is a close-knit group of trusted and verified members. Recently, four of its members were killed in an encounter in J&K, he said. Parvaiz is the elder brother of Firdous Rashid Lone, who along with Sameer Ahmed Lone was killed by security forces on January 24, he said.
